Our rugby team is holding the second annual "The Beltway Battle Against Breast Cancer." We, NOVA, are teaming with and challenging our crosstown rival, the DC Furies, to raise money for The Tigerlily Foundation.We ask you to join us in supporting such a worthwhile organization by attending the events or by providing a monetary donation.

The cherry blossoms are on the verge of blooming and the weather is predicted to be perfect. It's our first game of the season! Come watch some great rugby. Don't forget to bring some money to buy food.

We would like to ask you to help by providing a cash donation. This is a great advertising opportunity for our corporate sponsors because we'll list your business information on the thank you board at the main event. It is a great way to expose your business to hundreds of people in the DC area, while at the same time helping out a worthwhile cause. Donations will be recognized in the following categories:

DONATE YOUR BRAS AND HATS!:
Let your bra support someone else for a change! NOVA and the Furies will be collecting BRAS AND HATS (new in 2010!) at practice to be used as the crowd barrier and then donated to the Tigerlily Foundation. Please bring any bra you have that you wish to donate to your team representative by 3/25. Amelia, ameliahukoveh@yahoo.com.
Proceeds
All proceeds from Beltway Battle Against Breast Cancer events will benefit the Tigerlily Foundation, a Reston based foundation.
Their mission is as follows:
- To educate, empower, advocate for and support young women affected by breast cancer
- To end isolation among young adult breast cancer survivors
- To improve the quality of life for young adult breast cancer survivors by creating vigilant self-advocates
- To promote ferociously fearless females
